Summer Carhartt FR Collection - Keep You Cool And Protected

The 2011 summer collection of Carhartt Flame-Resistant work clothes features a few pieces to keep you not only protected on the job site but also cool. Carhartt flame- resistant clothes are not only constructed to protect you from any arc flash or flash fires that could occur on the job site but also to demonstrate incredible durability and comfort while wearing them. Carhartt only uses premium California cotton in the manufacturing of their work clothes. The strands of California cotton grows longer resulting in a more durable fabric that will hold up against abrasive surfaces you might rub against on the job site.

Carhartt's FRK009 Flame-Resistant Long-Sleeve Work-Dry T-Shirt features the patented Work-Dry technology which will pull the moisture away from your body and evaporate it on the outside of t-shirt. This FR shirt also features anti-odor control to prevent the shirt from accumulating an unpleasant smell after wearing it on those hot summer days. The safety ratings on this shirt are lower as there is less shirt than their traditional button down woven FR shirts. The FRK009 has a HRC rating of 1 and also an ATPV rating of 4.7. This shirt may or may not meet the requirements for your job site so be sure to check with the safety supervisor to make sure that you would be compliant with this shirt.

If you are a worker that prefers or is required to have a collared-shirt the FRS159 Flame-Resistant Lightweight Twill Tradesman Shirt would be a great option for you. This 6-ounce FR twill shirt is the lightest woven shirt that Carhartt currently makes. This shirt features triple-stitched seams, double chest pockets and FR Melamine buttons throughout. Many of the workers we supply FR clothing to also tell us to take in consideration the color of shirt you are wearing if exposure to the sun occurs at your job site. Many of the lighter colors (khaki and medium blue) have a tendency to absorb less sun heat through the work day. This fall, Carhartt will be releasing the FRS003 Flame-Resistant Work-Dry Lightweight Twill Shirt which will give a worker the Work Dry moisture-wicking technology in a woven shirt. This shirt will also have a HRC rating of 2 and a ATPV rating of 8.7 which will meet many more job sites requirements for FR clothing.

Carhartt has taken the tradition that they are known for with their durable work pants and continued to build on that success with their Flame-Resistant pants. The FRB159 Flame-Resistant Loose-Fit Midweight Canvas Jean features a 8.5-ounce FR canvas construction with the main features being a cell phone and utility pocket, triple-stitched main seams and an arc-resistant button closure at the waist. This midweight pant will be sure to keep you cool on the job site as the summer temperatures continue to warm up.
