FORT SMITH, Ark. -- The recent heat has been a major concern for pets. The Sebastian County Humane Society has already seen two incidents of dogs dying due to heat exhaustion early last week."Many people don't think it's a big deal to leave your animal in the car while you run in the store, but 10 minutes -- even with the window cracked -- can kill them," said Joanne Barton of the Sebastian County Humane Society.
