BALTIMORE (WJZ) ? It?s not your typical bridal show. It?s about Cinderella. A Fairy Tale Wedding is a benefit for Brides Against Breast Cancer. Ron Matz reports it happens next week right here in Baltimore.
Weddings can be different. Remember Joe Flacco?s? Next week, the tables are set in Baltimore for Cinderella: A Fairy Tale Wedding.
?We?re going to have an incredible fashion show, great gowns, a fabulous runway, wonderful models and a wedding reception environment. Food, lighting, flowers, entertainment. It will be a wonderful evening so if you?re going to give money to charity, you might as well do this and enjoy a great evening,? said Karen Buck, Wedding 411 On Demand. ?I wanted to combine my 30 years of industry experience in the world of weddings locally with the fact that there?s a great charity to give to and we should all give back responsibly.?
It raises money for Brides Against Breast Cancer.
?My daughter is affected by the BRACA2 gene, which gives her a higher probability of having breast cancer in her lifetime, so that was the driving force to choose Brides Against Breast Cancer,? Buck said.
Dulany Noble will bring the linens to the Castle at Maryvale.
?We?re all very excited about the Cinderella wedding. I think it?s really important to give back to the community. This event touches everybody?s heart because everybody knows somebody that?s had breast cancer or who has died from breast cancer. It?s a horrible, insidious disease,? Noble said. ?We want to have this most beautiful wedding with Lovely Linens. People can escape to another place where everything is beautiful. We?re going to make it beautiful and elegant.?
Signature Catering is ready for a special night.
?It?s kind of neat. Being in the castle has that home feeling. It?s doing something good for the community, as well. It all just fits together,? said Joe Bivonna.
Eddie Wingrat?s Flowers and Fancies will make it a picture-perfect evening.
?I lost both my mom and dad to cancer. It?s something that has stuck with me all my life. The funds go to Brides Against Breast Cancer. It?s a natural for us to be a part of,? Wingrat said.
Thirty Baltimore-area wedding professionals will be part of this big event.
This unique wedding experience will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Castle at Maryvale in Brooklandville. Tickets are $35. For more information, click here.
