Combat iPhone syndrome with Pilates | Domain Health

?

Reverse the side effects of?repetitive?smartphone use with this Pilates pick-me-up.

Technological advances now let us run our lives completely on hand-held devices like iPhones or Blackberries. But the side effects of constant texting and emailing are forearm, wrist and shoulder complications that find their way up in to our necks. Doing the Pilates HandBag curls will help. If you don?t have access to a HandBag, you can make one with a broom, some rope and a 500g weight.

Try this:?Hold the HandBag handle on both sides, wrists shoulder-width apart. The idea is to reel in the rope and raise the bag. Do this by twisting each hand alternately. Once the Handbag meets the handle, reverse the process. Lengthen your hands over the handle as far as possible.
