Lost Role player seeking a good rp

There are just too many role plays here and so many of them have already started. I have no idea how to best sift through them all and find something I am interested in. I've tried a few times to run a rp but this site makes it very difficult to recruit people. One reason being that there are so many rps it is hard to sift through them all. I think it might help if they were organised more like by genre and whether they are even accepting new players or not. I wasn't really sure where to post this request. I mostly have been playing on another site that is a lot smaller and has an advertising function. Essentially you can advertise one of your rps and it will appear randomly over the course of about twelve hours and when the ad expires you can advertise again or choose another rp to promote. I don't know if something like that would work here or not. Anyway I just wanted to post about myself and see if I could find a good rp to join.

I am a female but I will occasionally play male roles if needed. I will not do same sex romance but have no problem playing a guy who likes a girl or a girl who likes a guy, even if the guy is played by a girl. I know it is a strange distinction but that's how I am. I don't like horror or extreme violence and I don't like a lot of cussing but I don't mind playing a sex related rp even going as far as rape, though since an rp like that is outside the rules we would have to do one like that in private chats or ims or over email or something.
My fave genre is romance/fantasy but I will do sci fi or period dramas as well, as long as the story is unique and interesting. I like deep plots and interesting twists. I don't like just hack and slash, I like puzzles and little hints that lead to something. I like being surprised. While I want to have a rp that is active and like detailed posts having too many people posting long posts is too much for me. I have two kids so don't have time to read lots of really long posts. I see myself as an above average writer but no where near being advanced or expert. I have a lot of flaws but am totally willing to listen to criticism and try to work on doing better. I want to improve my writing so am totally willing to listen to people with more experience then me. I am generally an easy going person and don't usually offend easily though I tend to often accidentally rub other people the wrong way. I am blunt and honest and sometimes say something not realizing it could be offensive. I try my best though and really don't mean to say the wrong thing, I just don't think the same as others sometimes.

I'm not sure what else to say but I like unique stories that are easy to make original characters for. I tend to use anime inspired pictures and when I can, my own art for my characters so keep this in mind. I like to work as a partner or group and make the story together. Also I won't leave the rp without talking about it first and I only do that if the rp is dead or I can't do it anymore. While I have a lot of free time I also lack patience and tend to be a little lazy so I won't join one that is too in depth. I mentioned having too many people posting long posts. "The Gods" is a good example and is probably still ongoing. It was a great rp and had a lot of good players but I just couldn't keep up. I felt like I had to read three novels before I could post and then I would have to write about not only just my character but a whole civilization. It was way too in depth for me. I want a little of a challenge but I will get overwhelmed if it is too much. I hope that doesn't turn too many people off hopefully recruiting me. I have a lot of ideas for rps that I would love to do so I hope to find a good partner, or group rp to enjoy.

I can check the rp at least once a day and I usually post the same day I read a response. I am diligent and if I am interested I will try my best to keep the rp going as long as I can. The more involved in the creative process I am, the better.
