Current TV correspondent David Shuster joined HuffPost Live Thursday to discuss his recent blog post arguing that David Gregory should apologize for stoking controversy by violating D.C. gun laws on "Meet the Press." Shuster also shared his thoughts on Al Jazeera's purchase of Current TV, where he's worked since 2011, when he joined the network as a correspondent and Keith Olbermann's primary substitute anchor.
Shuster grew visibly uncomfortable when asked about Olbermann, his former MSNBC and Current colleague, who left Current in his typical dramatic fashion last year.
"He's a brilliant broadcaster and he will do just fine," Shuster said of Olbermann. "He will land on his feet, and the days of hearing from Keith Olbermann are not over."
Shuster, who described himself as a "news guy," had nothing but praise for Al Jazeera's international reporting, and argued that people doubting the network should give it a chance:
